Verification Leader TransEDA Expands in Europe and Japan
LONDON & LOS GATOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 2001--
TransEDA® PLC (LSE:TRA), the leader in ready-to-use verification
solutions, today announced the opening of two new direct sales and
support offices in Paris and Tokyo. The company also announced the
appointments of Francois Durif as director of sales for Southern
Europe, and Yasuo Kanehira as senior technical manager for Japan.
According to TransEDA president and CEO Ellis Smith, ``Demand for

Durif will be responsible for customer sales and support within
France, Italy, Spain, and Belgium, and will manage the new TransEDA
office in Paris. Durif has held several senior sales management
positions, most recently at AmbLot, where he successfully introduced
TransEDA products into Southern and Central Europe. Previously, Durif
was sales director at Veda Design Automation, where he launched and
built sales activities for several innovative U.K.- and U.S.-based
electronic design automation (EDA) companies, and managed major
accounts at many of Europe's leading blue chip companies.

Kanehira joins TransEDA from Motorola Japan Ltd., where he was the
circuit design and chip integration manager for the Transportation and
Wireless Connectivity design department. He has over 16 years'
experience in the semiconductor industry, and specialized knowledge of
deep sub-micron design methodologies.
